About.
I’m Mark Booth, collector, restorer and occasional potter. I’ve spent over 15 years foraging sales, fairs, markets and second-hand shops throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
My passion is to seek out discarded 20th century treasures and refurbish or repurpose them into interesting, curious and unique ‘things’. Incidentally, the name of my crafting enterprise is derived from my surname and my cherished ‘things’!
Whether it’s a clock, a word frame or an artwork piece, I love combining an array of media – wood, metal, ceramics, fabric and interesting artefacts - to create some ‘thing’ unique that will decorate and enhance your home or office. Wherever possible, I’ll share the story of its journey to boothings.com.
My online shop will launch in Autumn 2025. In Spring 2026 it will feature a range of garden and furniture ‘things’. In the meantime, I’ll feature anything new on Facebook and Instagram. Please follow me via the links in the header.
When I’m not in my workshop, you’ll find me walking in the hills and valleys with my wife Caroline, and my yellow lab, Mellow.
I hope that you’ll enjoy looking around.
Best wishes, Mark
